Spring 2017

Transfer Orientation and Advising Kick Off

We are excited to finally meet our incoming transfer students for Fall 2017. Happening in the midst of our current spring term, we are reminded that education is a continuous, ongoing process that will last a lifetime. The energy our students bring to the campus and their academics is what drives this institution forward and our first group of transfer students is already carrying on this legacy. Getting acclimated to the campus and its community is something we hope our students find comes naturally as they begin their undergraduate journey in the Liberal Studies program. To this end, we have 2 peer advisors, Amanda Martinez and Katie Ward (pictured above), on hand to answer questions and help students get aquianted with their new home. The program presentation will be given by office manager, Patrick Nicholson, who is also an alumn of the program and employee of 10 years. All transfer students are encouraged to schedule an appointment in the Peer Advising for Liberal Studies (PALS) office for additional registration guidance PRIOR to their registration date.

“Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.”
